FACNOR tips

Stopping chain plate for sheets
“The sheet of the shade sail can be stopped with a knot that get blocked by a Wichard padeye. That way the sheet will escape from the high positioned block”
Taquet winch
In order to facilitate the shade sail handling, Facnor has developed a unique cleat-winch, the T-winch that enables to optimize and secure the tensioning of the shade sail sheet. The sail sheet becomes easier to tighten.
FXsun furler maintenance
The FXSun sealed bearing mechanisms are maintenance free. However, if you live close to the sea front, you occasionally rinse with clear water the endless line drum, the swivel as well as the thimbles.
How to protect your furling shade sail and FXsun system during winter?
During winter, we advise to store your shade sail and its system or to protect them with a custom-made cover.

I have installed over 30 FXsun shade sails (…) I find Facnor’s FXsun furling systems very safe and practical because it is easy to furl the shade sail and pull it out again as the weather changes, which can be significant in Japan. I recommend FXsun because they are simple in design and easy to handle.

FXsun expert

“We install shade sails equipped with FXsun furlers. This system is easy of use. We do all the assembly in our workshop, and when we arrive at our customer’s premises, we install it quickly and easily. We are very happy to work with these furlers because they are made in France, locally, in Normandy.”
